Work in Progress Crit

First, during this last class before the Christmas break, which I really need, we had some of the work-in-progress presentations in class. Not all of them, as there were two dates available to present, and as I’ve already mentioned, I chose the other one. The presentations went well as they were detailed and concise in the correct arguments they needed; they also had more time as fewer people presented. In contrast, when I present, I always try to be more concise than too detailed as it becomes hard to follow; I can’t imagine how hard it is for external examiners to watch all our presentation videos. Also, we have to stay within the 10-minute time limit, so it is better to be sure about that. Apart from the class, we wished each other a Merry Christmas and New Year as it was the last class. Diego helped me again with my first remix to adjust the tempo of the vocals to the beat, as I still hadn’t fixed it yet. I can proudly say it was on time, and I nearly completed the track, which I will finish during the break. I also had a tutorial with my tutor, Matt, for an overall update, as it had been a long time since we hadn’t discussed the project’s progress. Finally, we discussed the project’s progress. He advised me on the remix and presentation and suggested that I send him the weekly journals so he could check them. When I told him my first remix was nearly completed, he told me to send it for him to listen. We scheduled another online meeting after the break before the presentation in case I needed help. I would like to thank him again for all the help he gave me, as well as my course leader, Diego, and some of my classmates. I required a break as I’ve been pretty busy in the last period with all the courses. I enjoyed our work these months from the start, but it is really hard to not make it layer on itself to be organised and on schedule for each class. I got behind schedule with the F.M.P. because I had issues with a submission in another class; similarly to the domino effect, I fell behind by consequence.

In addition, I continued working on the remix and modified it, especially the automation.

I also started mixing and mastering the track to give it a final touch so I could begin working on the second.
